Hi,

Im having this problem with my computer.

It stops responding for a few seconds then its ok again for at least half hour.

Its just the mouse curser doesnt move and nothing will work and then all of a sudden it will.

It doesnt do this all the time but for the past 2 days it has.

I had a virus detected by Avast and it moved it to the chest...But i dont think it could still be the virus?

But my system is still fast,Not slow like when you have spyware.
 
Yeah i instaled the following...

Itunes (Latest version)

AVS Dvd player

I also installed NGO Drivers for my Graphics card.

I did uninstal my older drivers before instaling the new one.
 
Do you know the name of the virus? Putting something into quaranteen alone doesn't mean that system files and others are 100% healthy. You often have to overwrite or remove and replace any files that have been infected. You may want to run some other scans like Trend Micro's House Call and PC-cillin there. Once the files are revealed you manually overwrite or remove them if they are just going to be left in limbo in an archive.
 
Sorry no i cant remember the name of the Virus...It was 2 days ago.

I will do a scan with Trend Micro's House Call and update you with results.
 
I suggest you to reinstall the old drivers of your graphic card.and see if the problem persists.
 
The first thing to do there is get the activation code for using PC-cillin when you sign up for it. It has programs rolled into one like anti- virus, spyware, adware, trojans, antiphising filters to even block sites with garbage on them. The firewall will keep prompting you when you are online as well. It does kind of take over a few things so you may not want it installed longer then needed. Once your system is clean and you take it off you won't find so many data miners and other things when you go to use something else.
