hi i just put a new power supply in (follow link for details)
http://www.cclonline.com/product-info.asp?product_id=6801&category_id=263&manufacturer_id=0
and a geforce 8800 gts gfx card and im having a few minor problems.
1. normally on startup i get a orange light on the monitor and a black screen until i press reset, after this it loads up and then says overclock failed (even though im not overclocking) press f2 to default which i do then windows loads. this seems to happen pritty much everytime i restart or load up the pc.
the pc also seems to make the odd bleep noise every so often while its switched on.
its a asus A8s-x board and a AMD 64 X dual core 3800+ processor with 2 gig of ram. can anyone help me with this? thanks

hopefully not.. as i just got a power supply, if it was power problems though id have fort it wouldnt load at all, doesnt seem to bleep now at all now though

yeah, a 530w seems like it would be cutting close IMO.
But since it's a GTS... hmm.
But yeah, let's wait to see they say :]
I think 530 should be enough ;/

*edit* what psu did you have previously?

you could run it on a 420, the power supply is plenty. Is the video card plugged in, as in the power on the video card that gets a connector form the power supply

yea its plugged into the power supply, before i had a proper crap power supply which couldnt handle my old card at all hence why i upgraded it.
