in this comp. you can choose: manual , 266Mhz, 400Mhz.

choosed 400, then manual, and got it to 599.99 Mhz and 600Mhz. then after a few hours ERROR and blue screen appears, never happened before... unless you count that i put too much ram in it.. (over 256 somethings goes wrong) has XP PRO 3 cd drives, floppy, 2 2000rpm case fans (might be 2500)... 350w dynex PSU, nvida valtro or something video card... (crap i agree)... 16/32 bit ISA sound blaster sound card (crap too) no thermal grease

And your question is.......?

*Edit*: Please do not double post. You have another thread about this already.

sorry about double posting, is there a way to remove this one? my question is : why does the blu screen appear when overclocking after some hours

Obviously if the CPU is acting up from all the heat, it would bring windows to its knees man. The CPU is a very vital component, if it misses a beat, your system will crash man. And 400Mhz????? isn't it time for an upgrade? :P

no, my 486 and my MAC LLC should be in a museum =) well i havent recieved my thermal paste yet so ill just keep on using it the way it is =) it has too small fans on the heatsink, the compy saiys 4000 RPM each, good? and is there a WAY better heatsink/fan i can use?

should my 166MHz compy be in the trash?.?

RPM isn't everything, for me high RPM means HIGH noise, I would rather have a fan with a hard blade that spins slower but moves more air. That is why I prefer Intel Coolers over AMD ones because AMD ones are so small and make a high pitch noise.

DSL, wireless, ect. and yes, i got my 400 overclocking SUPERBLY NOW!!!!!1111

its at 600Mhz, so 50% faster, and when i didnt add theremal paste it was running idle at 67 C .... wow huh? so you can imagine the temp. when i overclocked it to 600.... oh yes and the temp right now on it is 30-40C (good ole thermal paste) and i raised voltage to .1 more. doing fine right now!
