Slow as a snail pc

Alright guys,

Right im so damn annoyed with my pc at the moment....these past few weeks its just been performing like a snail:mad:

I know my pc is a slow system anyway lol but it never used to be like this...it was actualy quite fast.

ive formated and re-instaled windows so its not that.
My idle cpu temp is around 38-40c and when under load like playing games it goes up to 53-54c...(53 is ok?)

Can pcs just slow down as they get older like for example...the hard drive isnt as fast as it used to be? OR could a hot graphics card bottleneck the system?
i cant monitor my gpu temps :(
Ive had this pc from brand new for over 3 years.

i cant afford a new computer yet or i would blow up this one lol:D
 
take it into the shower and if it a good cleaning. if after a reformat and it is still then it is a hardware problem. do you have a spare hdd to try? it may also be psu crapping out and not supplying enough juice.

at work, most of the snail symptoms are either related to the hdd or the psu.

Nope i dont have any spare hard drives to try out:cool:...my Psu is a 400W unknown make but it was fine when i had my graphics card put it so i dont think it would be that:confused:

Nope ive had Ultimate instaled ages ago and its been fine but for the last month or so my pc just doesnt perform like it used to:(
