Slow boot...

Hi everybody.

I have windows 7 home pro installed on an SSD... I recently had an issue with a "Black screen of death".

I reinstalled windows & everything seems to be fine.

The only issue is that my computer takes a long time from powering on, to arriving at the Bios/motherboard screen (not sure what you call it)... After it gets to that screen, windows loads nice & fast. But getting to that screen takes maybe 20-30 seconds.

This wasn't the case before. Just wondering if there is something wrong here...?

Reset bios back to defaults maybe. Is there a bios update for that board? Usually when it takes that long for board to post then its a hardware issue. Try removing and reinserting ram as well.

Hmm. I tried both. Same results. Although I did notice this...

If I just restart my computer, it seems like the same amount of time elapses, but on the MOBO screen. So already past Bios, it takes a long time... Very strange.
