1. Malware - scan your system with Malwarebytes
2. Hard drive is failing - run a diagnostic on the hdd.
3. Low system specs - should have at least a quad core cpu, 8 gb of ram and an SSD.
4. Too many unnecessary programs running around bootup - open task manager, click on start up tab and disable any programs not needed to start.
You didn't list the model number or how old it is. Has it always ran like this or did it just start doing it.

If it's a mechanical hard drive, those have the highest component failure rate in laptops.
Usually it's a battle between storage performance and data volume, if you have a bunch of unnecessary startup items or malware, or your storage performance tanks due to damage/failure, then it will exacerbate the issue.
Seagate has a bootable SeaTools ISO you can use to run diagnostics on the drive. If it comes back with errors and you're in the market for a replacement, consider an inexpensive SSD instead which will remove the angle for physical shock damage.
