Slow computer flashing cursor

Hello,

Excuse me if my knowledge of computers is so little but i have a problem that annoys me since few months.

The problem started few months ago when after starting the computer the cursor started flashing from time to time and slowing the computer so much that it was actually freezing it for 2-3 seconds. Then you could work on it for 5-6 min and then flashing cursor appears. I was asking around and have been told to check motherboard for problems or video card. I didnt use the computer for 1 month and after this period the problem seems to dissapear. I was using the PC with another problem but not so annoying - the monitor will restart every 5-10 min. Yesterday the problem appeared again - flashing cursor and freezing the pc . It is impossible to do anything and it is extremely annoying. I think it is hardware problem but i dont know where it comes from. I researched a lot but cant find similar problem on internet . As well when booting the PC it takes more time than usuall. My PC is perfectly clean. My motherboard doesnt have broken pins (dont know the exact name- have been told to check the small round things). Tried with 3 different video cards - still happening. Wondering if it can be from the hard drive , ram or processor.

I will be really happy if somebody can give me some tips and advices , because i am really frustrated.

PC: In my country professional advice from a technician costs a lot of money so this is not an option.

I would start by running some malware scans.

Please download Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware from here or here and save it to your desktop.
  • Double-click mbam-setup.exe and follow the prompts to install the program.
  • At the end, be sure a checkmark is placed next to
    • Update Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
    • and Launch Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware
  • then click Finish.
  • If an update is found, it will download and install the latest version. Please keep updating until it says you have the latest version.
  • Once the program has loaded, select Perform quick scan, then click Scan.
  • When the scan is complete, click OK, then Show Results to view the results.
  • Be sure that everything is checked, and click Remove Selected.
  • A log will be saved automatically which you can access by clicking on the Logs tab within Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

If for some reason Malwarebytes will not install or run please download and run Rkill.scr, Rkill.exe, or Rkill.com but DO NOT reboot the system and then try installing or running Malwarebytes. If Rkill (which is a black box) appears and then disappears right away or you get a message saying rkill is infected, keep trying to run rkill until it over powers the infection and temporarily kills it. Once a log appears on the screen, you can try running malwarebytes or downloading other programs.



Download the HijackThis installer from here.
Run the installer and choose Install, indicating that you accept the licence agreement. The installer will place a shortcut on your desktop and launch HijackThis.

Vista and Windows 7 users must right click on the hijackthis icon and click on run as. If the run as option doesn't appear then press and hold the shift key while right clicking on the icon to get it to appear.



Click Do a system scan and save a logfile

Most of what HijackThis lists will be harmless or even essential, don't fix anything yet.

Post the logfile that HijackThis produces along with the Malwarebytes Anti-Malware log

Rerun malwarebytes but this time make sure you click on the remove.selected button to remove those infections. Then post both new logs.
