I have been having problems with one of the systems on my wireless network being painfully slow on the internet. For the most part there are two connected to a Netgear Wireless Draft N router. The system upstairs runs perfectly fine reaching max speeds of 800kb/s + on downloads whenever needed.
However the system downstairs which is closest to the router is having a hard time getting past about 15kb/s on downloads. This is even whilst the upstairs system is idling, chaging pages on the internet is exceptionally slow, almost to dial up speeds.
I have reset the Router to its factory defaults and so far as I can see theres no restrictions being placed on the speed of either system. Currently i am downloading the drivers for the slower machines wireless adaptor and will be reinstalling them in case.
Anyone else suggest other things I might need to take a look at to see if it helps?
