Slow down.

My HP 6775 with vista has recently slowed way down. Doesn't load videos as fast, or even files off the hard drive. I have tried virus scans, scanned with defender, Deleted all online/offline data, and even increased virtual memory to see if it would help, but nothing. Oh, and I installed a new flash player too, but it wouldn't explain why the computer is so slow.

First you should defrag your hard drive

Get rid of any necessary programs

Delete temp files

I think I deleted the temp files, but maybe I did something else. How do I do this. As for disabling features, is this really necessary? It was running fast when I first got it, and up until a few months ago actually.

Well, I've had it it is sooo slow. My only drawback on recovery is that I have office, and there are no more keys left for it. Is there a way to put it on the external HDD so I can run it after a reboot?

In startup select only necessary programs and leave the rest

Try disabling some startup programs that might be hogging your system I made a video here. Stop startup programs
