Slow Down?

I just built my new PC and basically all ive heard from everyone is that I am crippling my PC by having such a crappy/old video card. My computer is a bit sluggish at times and it shouldn't be at all (see specs in sig). Would the video card have anything to do with slowing my computer down? Im not talking about when im playing PC games...just messing around on the computer. If so I don't want to get a top of the line video card because I don't play PC games too much. I mainly use my computer to download and screw around on the internet.

assuming you use the 9250 in the machine you are talking about, that card is plenty for what you use it for. it may help performance a wee bit with a better card, but even integrated graphics on most machines is more than enough for average users.

the vid card is fine if you are not gaming and wont make any diffrence to the pc , you say you do alot of downloading ? if you are using limewire or something like that i would look at that first because you might have a virus
or spyware.

You may want to check your CPU temp. I remember that I had a similar problem with my comp running slow in windows and my CPU was running a bit...well, scortching to put it mildly
