Slow file transfer from hard drive to hard drive

Alright, I reformatted my HD and now I'm having difficulty transferring files from one hard drive to the next. Before I reformatted I wasn't having any problems but now it's taking roughly one minute per every MB. I searched on here and found that some people were having problems with file transfers due to Vista but not too sure if thats what it is. Any help would be appreciated

What operating system are you using?

First thing I'd look at is the chipset drivers. Make sure they're the latest.
