Slow startup

I just installed a slave hard drive. It takes awhile for it to boot windows from my master hard drive about 2 minutes between BIOS for the windows XP loading screen to appear. How do i fix this? Also, i dont remember my BIOS password how will i go about to reset it? Is tehre any easy way besides removing the battery and such?

Try a checkdisk on it at the prompt. chkdsk is the command

This is kinda the opposite for me, because it takes my computer but 5-8 seconds to completely start up "boot screen to logon screen"
Defrag your computer, disk cleanup... umm maybe reinstall the boot process. Via the command promp.

I tried both of those suggestions and niether work. I also need to know how to get my password back on my BIOS, how do i reset?
