oh wait did u use teh dfault drivers if so u have to go to nvidi.com and download the new ones there is aparently a bug with the ones they give u default with the 7600 sereis try that it just came in to mind so down load the new drivers im 100% thats ur problem
uh lol im still havin the same crappy problem...didnt seem to change anything after the new drivers were installed :( ...man i didnt think this could be so freakin annoying...so no other ideas?...ill wait an hour and try again just in case something else is going on idk

Or what you can do is remove your new card and just use the integrated, then remove any software assoicated with it, and uninstall it from the device manager. Then restart with only the new card, and then install the new drivers.

ok i looked through the bios but i dont really see anythig that specifically says onboard/integratted video or GPU or anything like that..

are there any other names for these settings i should look for?

i was doing a bit of googling and came across a guy that said he needed to set a jumper on the mobo to disable the onboard video...maybe i need to?

by the way i did see a setting that said something about "onboard spectrum" and there were also things like "CPU spectrum" etc...they were all disabled...is that it?

^ That does not make sense. He can use it as long as he has the compatible socket...

Try what Omega said. Also, about the jumper thing, I've never heard of that. I'm pretty sure it'll be in the bios.

i dont really know what to look for in the bios...nothing specifically says "integratted GPU on/off" or anything like that...what is the onboard GPU called in the bios?

Perhaps it would be under video options, and then Primary Video type Integrated/AGP/PCI.

ok this is really retarded...i think i see part of what i need to do but i cant get to it...

here is part of the bios menu...

(the >> mark means there is options inside of that setting)
DATE>>
TIME>>
IDE PRIMARY MASTER>>
IDE PRIMARY SLAVE>>
IDE SECONDARY MASTER>>
IDE SECONDARY SLAVE>>
DRIVE A>>
DRIVE B>>
HALT ON>>

now im reading the PDF manual that came on a CD with the mobo, and it specifally says that inbetween the "DRIVE B, and HALT ON" there should be the options of "VIDEO" with all the settings i think i need...

there is even a pic of the bios blue screen on the manual but the pic DOESNT even have the "VIDEO" setting either...so basically the words part of the manual says it does, but everything else says there isnt the video setting...

i dont know what to do from here and im about to rip the integrated part of the mobo out with my bare hands and throw it out my window:mad:

There should be more advanced than that, try moving the key to the right/left, are there tabs on top?

no ive been searching for a while but havent found a way to get to the video options...

i wanna try to re-install oblivion and FEAR and see if the cutscenes work any better...the reason is i downloaded a program called "Bink" which plays back files such as BIK (which is what oblivion uses for their cutscenes), and every time i tried to play back the files it would come up with that "this program has encountered a problem and needs to be closed..yada yada.."

so where are the files i need to save if i re-install (to keep my saved games)

also are there any good motherboards i should get to make my life easier (that would fit my system below)...i got around 100 U.S. dollars i think

ok well i tried to uninstall it but i keep getting an error and it wouldnt let me uninstall it....so i deleted the entire programfiles/besteda/oblivion folder, and for somereason the comp still thinks it is installed, it still says "PLAY" whenever i put the disk in the drive (i cant uninstal it because the same error is still freakin coming up)...

how can i completely remove it from the system

*EDIT* sorry i reinstalled it but it still dont work, do u guys think i should get a new motherboard?... cuz im tired of messing around with this thing

reinstall video drivers.
use the cd that came with the card. if it didn't come with one (oem barebone/refurb) then get the latest nvidia ones.

i did like 3 times...and i got the newest ones from nvidia..still no luck

In BIOS, there should be a menu called Boot Options or something of the like- go there, and it will have a bunch of stuff- like the boot video device. Try switching that to PCI-E.

the only thing i see is "Select boot devices" and it says things like floppy drives and hard drives or what op system to boot from, but nothing about video boot priority

do u think i could email Biostar about this problem, and do u think they would be able to help me (or even if they actually would spend time helping me)

is there anything obvious i should have done that i didnt (other then drivers and bios stuff)?

and are u sure it wouldnt be a power problem cuz my PSU is a piece of crap
