Small but annoying

When clicking on a link that opens in a new window the window is just a bit smaller than a maximized window. How can i get this so that the new window just opens as a maxmized one because its ANNOYING me.

And don't get annoyed because it's small...

Cheers thanks a lot for that tool, but is that the only way to do it? Pretty odd that windows doesnt remember certain window sizes.

IE does remember the last normal (not maximized) window size and position. In the registry there's a DWORD key at HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Internet Explorer\Main called Window_Placement where the window state parameters are stored. You can modify that value, even delete it, but this is restored after each exit from IE.
