small problem

ok, you know how, when you hover over the menu options at the top of an application (ei. file, edit, view, etc.) that they are highlighted? well, every once in a while the file option just starts flashing on and off that same highlighted color. i usually have to push ctrl or shift to make it stop cause otherwise i cant use the menu options.

any idea why this might happen?
 
That's strange. It does it while you're typing something in the Application, I gather? Is it possible one of your keys is a bit sticky and causing it when you hit a nearby key? Do you have to use CTRL or Shift, or will mouse-clicking it work too?
 
this isnt while typing. its completely random. and i usually dont notice until i try to access a menu say off of a messenger program or something like that. i click on the menu but it wont bring it up, and i realize that one of the browser menu options is highlighted. the only way i've found to stop it is to hit ctrl or shift.

Try a new mouse or keyboard, see if it still does it.
