What is this computer going to be used for? What is your budget?

playing the World of Warcraft and I am willing to spend 200-300 to upgrade the psu and video card. I'm not going to build it myself so don't suggest that

for a little more, thats slightly more significant than the previous model, i think the gpu might hold you over for a little while too.

technically, you dont have to have windows, unless you dont want linux/ubuntu.
Thats just one option

By the time you replace the cpu, not much left to just build. But I understand, so perhaps just put the upgrade $ towards a more ready to go system as FuryRosewood suggested.
Do you already have the unit you linked?
If not and you buy one then change some parts, it would void a warranty.
Just a thought.

If you don't want to build, then I would just put the extra money towards a higher quality rig. The warranty is part of the premium you're paying by getting a prebuilt, so you might not want to throw that away to change parts. Figure out what your total budget is, and find a computer that matches that price range, and buy it.
