small word processors?

I need a small word processor. I was thinking about the Neo, but it has such a small screen and I have to transport the whole thing to the library to print. And I am not sure that it will connect to the library's printer.

Then I noticed that the size and price of small computers have improved. So does any one know the pros and cons of various tablets? I want to add a key board. also it would be good if I could just transport a flash stick.

Are the tablets strong enough to with stand some jostling, like on a bicycle? I do not live near an internet conection.

Personally, I would prefer to use a netbook over a tablet as a mobile/small word processor. With a tablet you are going to need to add a keyboard and some type of stand whereas those features are part of the netbook.

A netbook can run software such as Microsoft Word, if you prefer, or free word processor software such as LIbreOffice or OpenOffice could be installed.

There are office suites available for tablets as well but, IMO, a netbook is going to do a better job of being a word processor than a tablet.

The OP stated he/she didn't live near an internet connection so I don't think a Chromebook would be the right choice.

what is the difference between the pads and tablets?

I wouldn't mind leaving the keyboard at home when I go the library if there is a key panel in the tablet.

The main thing I need is a word processor.
