hi folks


when i turn on my computer it takes firefox ages and ages to load.

done virus checks and mallware

done ccleaner

what could it be?
 
Not that's it's the prob, but in case you didn't know, FF's cahse can be routed to RAM.(future ref.)

What os do you have? Windows? Are there a lot of programs and services running? Check msconfig from all programs or run.

Cleaned hdd of programs or files you don't need?(or not). Defragged hdd?
 
If you have it loaded down with addons that most likely the issue. However, I run firefox as a secondary broswer and it usually loads up slow too but I just tried it and it installed an update and now it loads instantly. It's version 3.6.13
 
johnb, thanks for the info. i just realized i am wayyyy behind. im still on 3.5.13. i had to wipe my eyes clean to make sure i was looking at the right numbers.
