well, i plugged this seagate barracuda (ive owned some of them before) and it doesnt show up anywhere in windows management. im thinking i could send it back for a replacement because it might be shot, but it doesnt seem like it should be.
any idea as to how i can get it to show up?
its a 160gig model 7200.9 and its kind of thinner than a normal 3.5" bay drive, probably uses perpendicular recording...
i figure its just not plug and play... but i rebooted and it still doesnt show up... its plugged into power and my sata port, i tried a different sata port to no avail as well..
i DID do this the other day, and it worked fine on my friends western digital 160gig for his computer i built him (twas a real nice one, with an e6300 and a 7900gs) lol...
