So, as I said, I added ram to my computer. It used to have some 256mb(Nanya) DDR-333 and I chose to add 512mb (Kingston) DDR-400 knowing that this was what was in my father's computer and that i could always put it in there if ever I chose to build my own computer.
Now, it appears that the computer only recognizes that there is 512mb of ram, so I assume that it is the new ram I added. However, when I check in CPU-Z, it says that in my slot 1 there is 256mb and in my slot 2 512mb. All other programs (CCleaner, Everest) show as 512mb.
During the process of changing, I had a little problem which had already occured in the past, so I made no fuss over it, just assumed that a component had been moved and I played a lot with the GPU and a little with the other stick.
Now, I want to know, does it do that because the board I have(link in sig) does not support different ram or is it because I touched osmethen and I should try to fix it ?
