What can i do to make sure i dont have to format my computer again.
On october 21st 06 , my first lan.
i had a sata 250gb hdd had it hooked up wrong. with like all three ports filled.
the thin black one, the sata*red cable*, then psu wire.

i now currently have in, in a new computer, psu and sata*its yellow this time*.
plugged into my new harddrive.

when i hooked to the server of the lan, i tried getting on css and doesnt respond messages appeared, and i couldnt boot, plus we had like three power outs.

i kept re-booting, but i had to format.

what do i have to do to assure this wont happen?

thanks

Don't open up the computer and change things around, that's your best bet of not screwing up the harddrive. Other than that, there's not much you can do.
