So what yall think about half-life 2 episode 1 so far?

I think Its better than half life 2. There's a free roller coaster ride in half-life 2 episode 1. Its really fast and awesome. I love it so far.

What do you mean by that? Is it a roller coaster that you get on and ride in the game...?
 
i am bout halfway through now, its crashed several times, and in doing so the last saved game has become corrupted and crashed when tryin to load from it

how long did it take you to get halfway though?
 
I was going to get it today cause I am a half-life 2 freak but no cigar. I got on vaction tommrow and had to spend my money on "useful" stuff for the trip.
 
I think its good, no crashing for me, It was worth my money, but i only payed for half, what i did and suggest you guys doing, is find somone you trust and then each pay for half on a new steam account, since its single player you can both be playing at the same time and stuff since it doesn;t conenct to the interent :P Half the cost for the full game. and we preordered it from gamestop we we got it right away today.

Also tell us how long the game is, because from the sound if it it's a very short game.
 
A friend of mine has it and his words to me were "It's worth getting if you like HL2 but don't expect it to blow you away". Same enemies, same weapons, similar surroundings, very few questions answered and it only lasts around 4 hours. Is it really worth £18 (or whatever it is)?
 
Yeah, it's only four hours. I'd agree that it depends on how much you liked the original HL2. Few games rank that high for me, ones like Freespace, Freespace 2, Starcraft, and maybe Battle for Middle Earth. It really does depend on personal preference. Me personally, I'm going to probably wait until they do another two episodes or so, and then buy the three together for the same price as one... :) See: Neverwinter Nights ;)
 
i jus finished it, amongst the crashes en sound stuttering it is a decent game, not a bad ending.
