Is there a certain formula that AMD uses to get the rated speed of their Athlon XP cpus? like the 2600+ is 2.116 or w/e and etc, do they just compare it to the speeds of the Pentium 4 or what? say i oc'ed my 2600+ 266fsb from like 2.116 (i cant remember for sure , but its 133x16) to 2310mhz, is there a way to see the speed? i cant use the Barton series cores to compare to, because they are 333/400mhz fsb, and the 2600+ is the highest 266mhz cpu... so ... help?

The Athlon XP processor PR rating was suppost to be compaired to what the original Athlon would have to be running at to see the same performance, it just happens to match up pretty good to a P4.

well ya i kinda got that, but was wondering if there was a formula to what 'it should run at' compared to the actual clock of it...

The actual Clock is what it runs at stock, the PR rating is what it would take a plain Athlon in MHZ to compair. Like a XP 3200 runs at 2.2ghz, not 3.2ghz, but it would have took the original non XP Athlon to run at 3.2 to get the same performance
