I have a Dell Dimension 4700 and I am upgrading my computer casing to a NZXT Lexa which inspired me to buy a new motherboard as well! So here is my question. Is this motherboard (link below) compatible with the Dell Dimension 4700? I would of just bought a entirely new computer but I have already put 700 bucks worth of upgrades into this one. The only thing I really need to know is if the processor is compatible with my current one which is a Socket T (LGA 755). Thanks for your guy's time. I look forward to a response! ^_^

The actual link is this. I'm surprised nobody couldn't fill in the blanks. There was only Product.asp?Item= missing in the middle...lol

Yes, looks compatible. You will probably need to buy a new heatsink and fan, becasue the one that comes with the 4700 is designed for the dell case.

Weird motherboard...
I agree. Does it look at all to you as if it's a MicroATX motherboard, with a piece of PCB added on the bottom, with the third PCI slot removed from the original PCB and replaced on the new piece with a fourth PCI slot???

It's like a fourth is just motherboard... (don't know the name). However, the rest is all stacked with capacitors and bridges. Definently a micro ATX :D\

MitaPi... note that the motherboard only supports up to DDR2 533... so if you plan on getting really speedy RAM you might want to look for another. I recommend ASUS, DFI, and Gigabyte mobos (only because I have had experience with them :D)
