software for monitoring network resources?

I have four PCs networked together, two Vista machines and two XP machines.
all but the laptop have multiple monitors attached.

I know it may sound a little obsessive compulsive, but I normally keep task manager open to monitor my CPU usage on each machine, which leads me to my question.
instead of having task manager minimized to the tray on each machine individually, is there some sort of program (Microsoft or third party) or network configuration which will allow me to have the task managers (or at least the CPU usage graph or resource monitor of all four machines grouped together on one screen of any of my computers?

thanks for any help in advance

If you install and run spiceworks on a computer and give it login credentials for each of the machines it can keep track of this information for you. You can view a list of running processes at any given time as well as what kind of hardware resources are available. It has a nice web based gui too.

Nice thing is that it's free.

That's what I use. And would've recommended if you hadn't.

Have you used the trouble ticketing system in it yet? I haven't had a chance to play with it but I was wondering if it's any good.

Well, yes, a little :). It works well, you setup a sort of website, (which works even if you don't have Internet) and the person types their question in the message box, then types their name and e-mail address, and then the ticket shows up.

I've just installed that spliceworks but seems very buggy or it could be just me. Seems like it doesn't pick up half the things and half the things are wrong or strange unknown things.

Sometimes you have to edit them, and give SW administrator's credentials on all the computers. A few things like your router and cable modem thingy (:D) most likely won't show up right. But it's easy to configure.

One thing that I didn't like was the network map. It came up quite wrong, then again I have a somewhat complex network with a Site to Site vpn. Still, they could have made it more customizable.
