Software to simulate roads and vehicles.

Hi friends,

Greetings.

I would like to know if there are softwares like SUMO(sumo.sourceforge.net) which can actually simulate the road traffic, which can set vehicles at the positions we want and give them a particular speed limit and make them move in the software.

I am actually doing a project in controlling the vehicle traffic. So i want to simulate a traffic and then use my own algorithms to work it out and find the shortest path between two places dynamically.

I would be really happy if someone can help me.
