I was looking at them on newegg and I see alot of bad reviews so I was just wondering if they are actually worth getting? I don't base my decisions on reviews, I like to dig a little more and find a little more about them.

I was going to buy threw ibuypower.com which they have the 32 GB 2.5 inch SATA MLC Solid State Disk.

I haven't used any myself so I can't help you much :P

I don't think they are worth the price you need to pay for them right now.

I've heard that the performance isn't up to par because of poor OS support but I don't know if that is the case or not.

i have heard that vista64 bit can be installed in 10mins on these drives..

also there are some models out there that had what you could call "stuttering" would freeze every now and again.

im sure it was ocz's drives that had this problem but intel are making there own that have got rid of this problem but the price for these drives are stupid!

i am interested in these drives and im waiting for proof that they operate well as a c:drive until i pay good money!

at the end of the day the hard drive is the slowest part of a computer and once they get ssd's fully up and running computers will be much much faster

they are 100X better than any other sata drive or anything because there is zero latency and about 150-200 mbs write speed but i dont think they are worth the mooney u spend for them yet. the only downside of them if they fry there is 0 way for u ever get data back even if u send it to a data recovery center but its deff less likely to die than the ones now because there are no moving parts

I doubt it. SSD's are known to lag and have unreliable write speeds. Reading speeds are through the roof fast though.

why do you doubt it?

it takes me 30mins ish to put vista on my raptor!

also intel ssd's have gotton rid of these problems, it was ocz early drives that had the problems

The "cheap" OCZ drives uses Jmicron controllers, which had horrible write lag issues. As for the other drives, they're fast, just way too expensive.

On my RAID array, Vista takes about 10 minutes to install. No BS. The cost per GB for a SSD drive is too high at the moment. Wait another six months to a year when the tech becomes mainstream, and cheaper.
