Hi Everyone,

Im new to this forum and i wanted to get some advice. I unsure weather it is better to upgrade my current system or just buy a new one. This is the spec for what i have at the moment.

ASUS VM-M2A HMDI Motherboard
ATI 690G Chipset
3.2gig Dual Core ATI 6000+ processor.
350watt PSU
ATI Radeon Saphire hd4360 1GB Graphics Card.

Upgrade=New Computer

That is not that helpful, no explanaition and i dont think you have considered the options fully.

To the op assuming this is the correct mobo

you have quite a wide range of cpus to choose from including the original phenom x4 and surprisingly the athlon x4, either of these quad cores would be a nice upgrade and can be picked up for around $60-70.

Your comp specs are a bit muddled btw i assume you mean a ATI HD4350 as your gpu and you can get a better card for not that much, you may also need a new psu to do that, do you know the make and model of it? you should be able to find it on the side of the unit.
You could build a new system but your old one can keep going with a few minor uprgrades for a while yet i'd say unless you have enough money to spare to get all the new parts add a few upgrades here for cheap and your system will be pretty alright for a little while longer and upgrade fully a bit down the line.
What ram/how much ram do you have?
What kind of budget do you have and where are you based.

I have 2GB RAM at the moment. The PSU is not a good make one so i think i am going to replace that. Is my mothorboard ok for now?

the mobo is am2 so it cans support some of the newer cpus, there is a list above on the link.
an upgrade to 4 GB plus ram would be good
