some quick questions

1) is 11.77 volts on the 12 volt rail bad?

2) how do you connect an aftermarket GPU cooler to a video card, do you have to take the stock off and how?

As long as it's not above or below say .5 volts, you should be fine.

And yes, you will have to remove the old cooler. They are all different. My 6800GT was a bit complicated to remove, but quite easy to install the new one.
