Hello guys, my name is Josh. I'm a newbie here. Today at 9:00 PM I started having a problem with my computer where it became very slow and choppy. Let me start from the beginning.
I haven't had any problem at all with my computer at all today, I was playing Crysis at max detail with 8AA and 1600x1200 at 60fps. No problems.
However, at about 7:00 PM I noticed that my computer was making that sound when you insert a new device. I use vista btw. It would do that once every ten minutes or so. Sometimes more often. I was like wtf is this, but it didn't bother me until 2 hours later I said wow screw this I'm going to see if restarting my computer helps. At that moment it was running very smooth however.
I restarted my computer and it was slow as all hell. I can hardly play even the most basic of games and it takes much much longer for things to load. I do a full system virus scan once every week with nod32, and I have no viruses. I'm VERY careful where I surf on the web, and I'm not computer illiterate enough to download anything that would contain any malware.
If you could explain to me what to do to find out why this is happening, please tell me. I would appreciate any help at all. Thank you for reading.
