Okay, Z77 Extreme 4 POS motherboard. Bios is set to Load level 1 (the one where the Vcore stays level through all levels of processor utilization), per core ratio is all set to 40, bclk is 100 and vcore is 1.200V on FIXED MODE!
okay, looking in AXTU and CPUz the Vcore on 100% load is reaching 1.384V on 8 phase and it is bouncing between 8 phase and 4 phase (1.208V on 4 phase).
Pulled the GPU to see if my issues with overclocking was power related due to the high draw GPU, but I am still having issues. A 600 watt with 42 amps should be able to stabily run a i7, 2 HDD, 2 DDR3, and a DVD drive, yes? Heck, a feaking 400 watt should be able to. So this leads to one of 2 issues in my mind. Either a screwy PSU that don't deliver steady power, or the motherboard is screwy which I still do believe.
If it is the motherboard, then why the heck can it not steadily provide the power that the BIOS is telling it to rather than jumping around. it makes little sense to me at all.
And just a FYI on what else it is doing, I have it set to run 30 passes of burn test and it is on run 15, its been 2 hour 9 minute on that. Issues did not start until about run 12. It ran 1.200V 4 phase until then.
