I noticed that my pc has suddenly and dramaticly slowed down. When looking at the task managers processes I noticed that the cpu useage never dropped below 80% with it spending most of it's time around the 90s.

The program asociated with with problem has something to do with my anti virus f-secure and the troublesome file is fs32gkst.exe which can eat up to 70%! The problem arose after installing a number of freeware aplication which I later found did not work so I got rid of them. If I stop the process my cpu returns to normal

I also did a virus scan but nothing came up. Could I have a virus the infects my antivirus?!

Here is the graph of cpu usage:

I just did a google search on that file and nothing comes up. Have you ran any malware scans? Tried uninstalling and then reinstalling your antivirus?

I performed a full computer check of all my drives and everything but f-secure said there was nothing. Also this problem doesn't always occur, sometimes the computer will run normally, but when it does happen, rebooting it and/or disconnecting the internet does nothing, only stopping the offending process will return it to normal.

Can you check the spelling again of the process, we can't find anything on it.

Are you sure it's not FSGK32.EXE
