Afternoon chaps!
My daugther has a little 15" Goodmans flat monitor. When scrolling down the screen the picture doesn`t move down smoothly but moves down in sort of blocks. Why is this happening and how do I rectify it? Is this something to do with the refresh rate????
Of course its my fault in my daughters eyes so any help would gratefully received.
Regards

If this has been happening all along then I would say it has to do with what sort of graphics adaper you have, or if you have shared or integrated graphics, and how fast your machine is. My box runs a processor at 2.17GHz, but since it has graphics memory shared with the system RAM. I occasionally get the same thing with my PC, especially if I'm running a lot of programs, or my CPU is running at 100%.

It's probably the drivers. Use the disks that came with the video card, or download them off the website. I had the same problem.

Thanks Gents. I`ll try and find the graphics card disc. I know I`ve got it somewhere.
Thanks again.

Yeah

Indeed most likely a drivers issue. WindowsXP installs generic drivers which do just what you said it does. Tell us what your graphics card is and we will provide you with the appropriate drivers. If you have the driver CD, use that first.
