hey all, so, u can see what im running in my sig,

its weird, usually, doing nothing im at 0-3% cpu on any one core at a time, however at im hovering in the low to high teens 10-18% tried the usual, closing running processes (down the the bare minimum) and running a virus scan, and nothings been thown up.

its weird, its happened 2 days in a row now, and its only after say an hour ive noticed it on both occasions first time i though not much of it, but that its happening again today,

any ideas, i have an inkling its something like background defragging, but how do i check?

thanks all ;)

hey everybody never mind, turned out to be a dodgy audio driver (having 2 devices enabled in the sound control panel was eating cpu for some reason,

for future reference,

downloaded and installed "advanced task manager" free version from cnet looked at top process, found it to be scvhost with the term "audio" in process title, proceed to disable audio devices untill cpu retuned to normal,

thanks again all,

I remember about 2 years ago when I had problems with my CPU too.It was at 30% and I wasn't doing a God damn thing so I was like:"What the hell lol?!" And it turned out to be a damn WDM audio driver and the process name was the same "svchost".Besides those drivers sucks because my sound worked like crap lol and it was eating my CPU lol.:D
