Somethings gone AWFULLY Wrong

well now we had a powerfailure and i decided this is a good time to clean my computer.

so i unplugged everything, and opened my case.

well i only removed my GPU, and cleaned out a hell of a lot of dust. (nearly my whole heatsink was covered)

then i plugged it back in, and the power came back.

I switched om my computer and lo behold it worked..... for 2 minutes.

It booted to windows, and i went on the net, and all of a sudden, my computer switches off.

then i tried again and in 30 sec it switched off. the more i tried, the smaller the time it worked.

i left it for 10 minutes and tried it, it worked for 2 minutes, then switched off.

whats the problem?

is it a PSU problem or is my CPU overheating (in that short time)

Please help cause my dad is Furious that i took out the GPU and he says im gonna pay for service and new parts etc

any help PLEASE!!!!

was gonna say thats why it was getting shorter and shorter in time from when you turned it on to it turning itself off.

glad its working fine now :)

its working alright

i might get a new heatsink (Gigabyte G-Power) i know its not the best, but its light (430g), and cools well for the price ( i can get 3 of them for the price of one 9700.)

and its facing the side of my case where my fan can blow nice cold air in the HSF.

can you imagine, with my stock HSF, i get about 38* idle, but i put a 8cm fan attached to the tube included in case, and i made it blow only on the HSF and it dropped my temps by 10* (im at 28 idle right now)
