Sometimes I get a blurry screen on second display

Hello All.

I have an HDTV in use as my secondary display for my computer.

Every once in a while my tv shows a blurry/double image. I don't change any settings or move anything around when this happens. What would be the cause of this to be happening every once in a while?

When I don't have this problem, the image is great!

Thanks,
Andrew.

Hmmm. How often is this occurance?

Is it after prolonged time of being on or does it happen when you first turn the monitor on.

*Stupid Question* Is it plugged in fully, does it ever get loose? *End of stupid question*

The double image, is this like a copy of your desktops screen, this happens to me when i first start dual screening with my laptop (straight after logging on), Windows Xp then realises its an estension of my desktop not a copy.

Oh what is your OS as well that could be useful to know.

Is it a major irritation? or is it just a niggling problem you encounter daily.

Hi, thanks for replying.

It's about 50/50 when it happens.

Everything is fastened tight.

The double image just looks like a faint copy of the screen slightly to the right.

My OS is Vista.

I wouldn't say it's a major issue . When it comes to watching videos and what not it can be a pain to see the goofy image.

Thanks again for the response, I hope you can be my savior!

Have you tried contacting the company that produces these monitors?

Have you tried going on their website for troubleshooting such an issue.

Have you tried contacting your desktop's manufacture and see if they would know why such a problem is arising.

Have you tried going on their website and seeing if there is any troubleshootin tips.

Have you read the manual for both your desktop and monitor as to why the monitor may be having issues.

Have you tried 'googling' your monitor or desktop to see if any else has had your problem.

You might have a bad monitor at the end of the day.

Hope that helped
