Song cropping software

Does anyone know of any software (preferably free) that I can use to crop songs so I don't have to put the whole song on my mobile for a ringtone???

Cheers for the suggestions guys, I went with audacity - but am having a few problems. I didn't have a clue how to use it so I read up a wiki guide on how to crop a song for a ringtone, so I followed all the instructions and made the file to mp3. But when I played it back the song wasn't anywhere near the quality it should be....any ideas???
