I have a Canopus ADVC-100 capture device. I also have 5 computers,
all running XP SP-1. Most are Sonys. 4 of them recognize my Canopus device the instant I plug in the firewire cable. The newest one, the PVC-RS 430G, is the problem. On rare occasions it does. On most others it does not and on some it will recognize the device several minutes later. Last but not least, sometime it does what it is doing as I am typing this. I get the "ta da" sound over and over again, as if it recognized the device then
lost contact.
Does anyone have any ideas why this is happening and is there a better forum I should post this question on?
