sony ericsson gc89 & dell???

Hey guys,

First of all I know nothing about computers and tried calling both dell and sony ericcson and amazingly neither could answere my question. Will the sony ericsson gc89 work with any of the dell inspiron model notebooks??? I am looking to order up a dell tomorrow if so and would appreciate any help. thanks guys.
 
Anyone?? I really need to know asap. I need to order today so I can get it before I leave for work. thanks
 
I'd say it should work. It should work with anything with a PC card slot. It uses Edge connection and you can get that through Cingular. Cingular also sells Sony Ericsson PC cards if you want something that they support. You can also contact the service provider that you want to use, such as Verizon, Sprint, Tmobile or who ever.
 
thanks, I was going with t-mobile and they said they sell the gc89 for their service but were unsure if it would work with the dells. dells customer support isnt the best and they didnt know if it would either. I called sony ericsson and they couldnt give me an answere either. I guess I can just get it and see. if not ill have to make some returns. thanks again
