Does anyone know the purpose of the DIP swiches located under the memory cover next to the memory modules on the bottom of this laptop. As previously posted I am trying to solve an instability problem and I believe these switches may have been moved.

If you happen to have a PCG-F801A can you tell me what the switches are set to as purchased. Many Thanks.

Have you looked around for a manual? If it's not in the manual, it's probably something you shouldn't bother. I know my old IBM had 4 dip switches and only 2 where explained. Oh, and then it mentioned 7 others that weren't even included on my board(just a blank area for them :p)

If you're wondering, they were from common things, bus speed, multiplier, CMOS reset, etc... Yours is probably much the same.
