Sony Vaio E vs. Dell Studio, Help?

So I'm looking at getting a laptop for my freshmen year of college next year. I want something with a decent amount of power and the ability to do some games, but it doesn't need to be anything intense at all. As long as I can play TF2 at medium settings I'm good. I've really narrowed it down to two computers, the Sony Vaio EB or the Dell Studio 15. The specs on each are:

Vaio EB:
Intel Core i5-540m 2.53ghz
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 w/ 512mb memory
6gb RAM
500gb SATA hdd 7200rpm
15.5" screen w/ 1366X768 resolution (i really hate this part of the Vaio)

Studio 15:
Intel Core i5-520m 2.4ghz
ATI Mobility Radeon HD 5470 graphics w/ 1gb memory
6gb RAM
500gb SATA hdd 7200rpm
15" screen w/ 1920x1080 HD resolution

So my question is which should I go for? The Vaio has a better processor, but the Studio 15 has nicer graphics and a better screen. Also, how is the quality for each of these laptops. I've heard good things overall about Vaio's, but will a Dell hold up in the long run?

I would say I'd go with Dell. The graphics card is much better compared to the Vaio. You will hardly notice the difference in terms of the processor speed.

Yea that's what I've been leaning towards, plus the screen resolution with the HD option on the Dell destroys the Vaio's 1366x768 display.

And also, the Dell has 1GB of video memory compared with the Sony's 512MB, which should go along well with the screen resolution.
