Hi

Ive been looking for a laptop for a while now and have come down to the Sony Vaio FE21H. Is it any good? Click HERE for the spec...

Does anyone have any other suggestions??? I need a laptop with atleast 1GB RAM, 100GB HDD, Wireless capable and a 15" minimum screen (1024x786) min resolution. I dont care about weight as its only for the house and portability is not an issue. MY BUDGET IS £950 (UK STERLING / GBP) and must include VAT and Delivery as well. Any Recommendations are welcome :)

The specs of that looks like a very decent laptop. I don't know the rate of £950 in USD because I have the slowest internet connection right now, 14.4 dialup.. so it lags quite heavily. Aside from that, it looks like a multimedia laptop that comes with xp media center edition. Since you will be using it for home, I think it offers a lot of stuff with it's core duo, 1gb, and geforce. It's not integrated so it leaves you with more potential in the future should you need more demanding graphics such as games.

The only thing I may not like is the 100gb hdd which seems a tad bit small for a media laptop, but everything looks good.

yes! it is a good laptop. i have the one before it, and it runs most of my games very well... i never got around to tweaking it, it's strictly a work computer, but when i fly to boston from san-francisco, it does well on games like call of duty... (mine doesn't have dual core, so yours should run even better)

Ok Thanks. £950 = 1,792.84 U.S. dollars. Your comment helped a lot. Thank you. I doubt its going to be used for media as its just meant to be a secondary machine that can move anywhere around the house so with what you said its more than enough for me and anyone else in my household :D.
