Sony Vaio Fe690

After countless hours and days of research, I ended up buying the sony vaio FE690. In my opinion a pretty cool looking lappy with pretty good specs.
It has a core due 1.83Ghz, 80G Hd, 1 Gb memory and a Nvidia 7600 graphics card. i bought it at sonystyle.com for about $1550, which isent bad for a sony, i dont think. I still haven't received the laptop yet, maybe next week (hopefully)

Anyways, my question/concerns: Could anybody tell me about the performance of this laptop and also about the graphics card. Will I be able to play AOE 3 without lag. Any word on this lappy would be appreciated.....thanks alot.
 
I think you should be pretty good, 1GB mem is good, 7600 graphics are pretty good (especialy for a lappy), and the Core Duo CPUs are like the Core 2 Duos, that they share L2 cach, which means that they're better for games. It depends on what resolution you want it on, but I'd say your going to be fine with that setup
Could you tell the RPMs of the HDD?
 
I think that the HDD run at 4200RPM, which is not that great. Will that really affect the overall performance of the laptop including playing games?? And also, that 1G of memory is run on a dual channel (512x2), again will this affect the performance of the laptop compared to a single channel??
