If everyone waited for Halo then no one would have bought a 360 until May; Halo 3 didn't even officially exist until May. It's not just the Halo franchise, search the Bungie forums and you'll see that a lot of fans want remakes of Oni and Marathon. Many are also waiting for Gnop! 2 and Pimps at Sea to be released by Bungie. I'm actually looking forward to Mobile Ops: The One Year War more than Halo 3. There's also Assassin's Creed, Gears of War, PGR4, DOAX2, and an untitled Naruto game that will be released in the future.

Its true, some consoles have games that peopel buy soley for the purpose to play that game. That are usually that good.

The Xbox 360 has these two which should be definite hits (I hope)

Halo 3
Gears of War

Oblivion is amazing on the 360.

With all due respect, you mention remakes and wish lists like Oni, Marathon, Gnop! 2 & Pimps at Sea... which by the way: are you kidding me? Titles like these weigh nothing into deciding towards a console, since a lot of these never come to fruition. Mobile Ops: The One Year War, I'll give you that. Assassin's Creed was PS3s before it even got close to XBox360, can't have that. Gears of War, PGR4, DOAX2, and an untitled Naruto game are yours too.

To sum up, XBox360 has:
Mobile Ops: The One Year War
Gears of War
PGR4
DOAX2
untitled Naruto
Halo 3

...and PS3 has:
Metal Gear Solid 4
Resistance: Fall of Man
Warhawk
Vision Gran Turismo
The Getaway
Eight Days
Lair
Killzone 3

To my perspective: PS3 names alone, not quantity, outweigh the XBox360's.
 
Funny you say that, Assasin's Creed will be graphically alike on both consoles. And on G4TV both people agreed PS3 launch is looking terrible, they will not have any really good launch titles.

Now this is not me saying this, these are the guys who get paid to inform the public on gaming and probably know a little bit more than us.
 
Oh, and I'm kinda still mad about DOA getting bought out by MS, that was the best fighting game for PlayStation... :(

bigsaucybob, Warhawk and Resistance are out on Launch date. I read the reports of all these "gaming gurus" that work for the various game reporting companies, but I don't agree with all of them. Just because they say something sucks, it doesn't mean it does until you've tried it. Basically what I am trying to say is: "You be the judge, read their reports and you decide" I decide that Resistance will be amazing and Warhawk will be as well. Which by the way brings me to the question: Which Larger than life Next-Gen games did the XBox360 have on launch date?
 
obviously sony aim at the market which it thinks will sell the most. i laugh at everyone who was delayed since i wasnt going to get one anyway
 
dave597... aims at the market... what!? Xbox users have to wake up.

Everyone whines about how expensive PS3 is, but if you look at the XBox360 system people paid for and the add-ons you still need to purchase for it to get close to what the PS3 is offering technologically (HD says it all), you would notice that there is a huge difference which lies within Value and Quality.

Sony is producing a machine with sufficient strengths to outlast the XBox360, a very prominent one is storage. Resistance: Fall of Man could not be produced for any other current hardware but the PS3 due to storage restrictions.
 
Ok, we get it, you're a PS3 fanboy Marzeth. All that junk about what you pay in the end has already been discussed. This thread is becoming off topic......

True. Very true Yasu. It is becoming off topic as you have very logically pointed out. Thank you for your input.

But just to be clear on one thing. I am not a fan of PS3, I am a fan of whatever provides me the content I want to play the way I want to play it, and it happens to be PS3, because I could be anything else if any other hardware had it.

And to return to the topic: That is why there are people waiting for the console no matter what. For it's present and future content.
