Sony's got to be kidding...

Thank god I use my PC for everything, including gaming, I don’t want no consoles cluttering up my front room.

Well as I said earlier I'll buy Sony drives but not P3s. I'm still waiting for SP3 for XP. Why would I want a P3 when I'm busy with PCs? I'll go with something that will be around for awhile.

i tried it, it kinda sucks right now, but it should get better

Which SP3 are you referring to? The only one seen so far at Microsoft is the MS Office SP3. Do you have a link for it?
(we'll get that typo corrected here.)

It would be very redundant to tie a disk up to one machine(sound familiar?) where you couldn't use the same disk on another PS3. The apparent confusion seems to have been not being able to run a PS3 disk on a PS2. That would make a lot more sense.

Ive always hated sony, this simply justifies my reasons.
Same here dude

I would LOVE to see Sony go down hard. They should have never stuck their nose in the console gaming business and left it to M$, Nintendo, and Sega.

One good thing to come of Sony is Nintendo and Sega working together.

You dont mean Service Pack 3 for Windows XP, because there not releasing it until after Vista ships. It's going to inclue IE7, WMP11, and several other programs.

Just one thing to point out, MS came into the console market waaay after Sony did, the XBox was released with PS2, remember? Before the playstation, it was just Nintendo and Sega.

Actually, Xbox was released along side the GC. Both were released about 2 years(or 1 year, I forget) after the PS2 was released.

I'm running IE 7 beta now and it can be nuisance closing out explorer windows after using Windows Explorer or even the recycle bin. Had fun trying to go back to IE 6. I see that gets the same opinion as Sony.

Well, my point was that M$ got into consoles well after Sony, and that makes my point even better :)

To tell you all the truth I like Sony more then Xbox just because I have always had PlayStations and have never owned a Xbox but I wish one of them would go out so all the games would be made for one system not half the good games on one and half on another.

Well you could have a different brand for each corner of the room. Today we run the Sony PS3 and tommorrow... X-Box? Nitendo? Awwww... PC!

do they even have a release date on ps2 yet or are they gonna release it along side xbox720 :P i hope ps dies and sega consoles come back

Me, being a fan of all the systems, because, I'm weird that way - find what Sony is doing completely awkward. Pre-played/owned games are a bargin for the fans, but if Sony is afraid of loosing such minimals looses from Pre-played game sales they might want to think of the losses they might be getting from enforcing this "new law" of theirs over their games. It'll take more money to do then they'll be recieving in return.
--Just my view as the weird all-round console fan.
