Soooo...wireless adaptors

I'm building my computer next week and I'm ordering the last of the parts on Friday (wish me luck!). I wanted to get a wireless adapter for my desktop b/c
a) I'm moving into a house with 5 other roommates and were going wireless
and
b) The house I'm in is getting wireless Thursday and I wanna move the computer out of the room its in and to a diff one (will be farther from the wireless router)

I was wondering if you guys had any suggestions on which adapter I should get for my desktop and any other helpful information. I don't wanna spend more than like 30 bucks if that's possible.

I bought one of these http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16833166022 For my desktop upstairs (my router is downstairs) and it actually works pretty good.

I actually recommend this adapter as it gives you some cable to move the adapter around if you want to get a better signal instead of being limited to right next to the computer in a usb port.
