Haha no he was saying he was going to give up gaming next fall because he was going to be in college. I'm just saying if there's a will there's a way to game. Haha thanks I might need that luck! =P

OK, sorry, even though my girlfriend is from USA, im Aussie, and don't get all the terminology. Glad you're enjoying college my friend... its been many years since ive been there! Best time of your life!!

Haha thanks! It's pretty good so far. Of course I'm nowhere near exams yet. So to uki7, I would consider bringing the computer to college. Because when all else fails (;)), gaming is a good stress reliever. Plus there's nothing wrong with having two computers. Haha.

Haha. Oh and one more point. It's very hard to predict gaming in 4 years. You can't just put it down and pick it up in 4 years. Think about computer games that were developed 4 years ago and compare them to the ones being released now. 4 years ago NVidia released the GeForce 6000 series. In this year alone, ATi and NVidia released 11 video cards, not including the 9600GTS, and the 9800 Ultra (assuming NVidia is going to follow the same 8000 series pattern). Your 4870 will still play FarCry 2 but both the game and the card will basically be obsolete. Not to mention, technology doesn't usually progress in a linear pattern. Somewhat depressing, haha, but something to keep in mind.

thanks guys for all the input. I feel like it would be awesome if I could take my computer to college.. Ill most def try it. I worry most about other people using it or if its locked hurting it with beer or what ever else. I spent some time at my brothers college house and in some dorms at Hofstra and it was so crazy I had to leave after a week lol. Def good times tho :)
