Sound board on MB

Hi,

I am having a problem with my motherboard not playing the AC97 that is built in. I went to download the zip of AC97 and the setup said the driver is not on the install.exe (no idea what is going on). Can someone tell me how I can reinstall the entire sound board on the mother board that I have?

download the drivers for your mobo from the asus websit and make sure that onboard sound is enabled in bios

If that file is a .exe, it could be a self extracting file. Run it and see if it unpacks the files (drivers) for you.
