Sound card help frame rate?

Ok so heres my situation. I have an HP a6228x with some upgrades (look at signature). I have integrated sound on the mobo right now and only one green 3.5mm (standard) wire going from the speaker port to the Aux port on my stereo. I was wondering if I got a cheap $30-40 sound card, if it would help with frame rate or audio sync in games? Even though Im only using one channel? I can take pics if needed but heres a pic of the setup and the speakers.

it in theory would only effect the framerates in the case of your processor being the bottleneck of your system

So would a sound card take enough load off my processor to be noticeable or not?

It won't be noticeable. The amount of processing power it takes to decode sound isn't much at all.

Alright thanks guys! I guess i'll hold off getting a sound card until I get a better sound system that actually uses 5.1 channel. Anyways, what do you think of my setup?

It's a pretty neat set up, if you get some nice 5.1 speakers it would sound awesome.

Yeah it would. It sounds decent right now but Im trying to save up for a set of Logitech z-5500's or the G51 setup.

It's a lower end surround sound (lower watts) system from Logitech.

Those are pretty nice looking, if I had the money I would probably invest in them .

Yeah they are nice looking but they have much less power than the z-5500's.
