Sound card - Tuner card

I just got a tv tuner. It works nicely, but the sound on it is very quiet, so I hooked the audio up to my sound card. Now this plays at a nice volume, but there's a second or two lag in the sound. :(

How can I fix this?

You mean the sound is delayed by a second? That would be weird...
How did you connect the tv-tuner to the soundcard?

It's not. I have a coaxial cable running from the vcr to my tv-tuner. This carries the really quiet sound. Then from the RCA ports on the vcr I have them hooked up through a mini-jack converter into my line-in on my sound blaster audigy 2, where the sound is better, but it's delayed.

How about connecting the tv-tuner A/V output's audio cable in the sound card's line-in? In fact my All-in-Wonder works that way.

Right now I don't have a dual mini-jack cable, and I wanted it to hook directly into the sound card because it should have better quality than the tv tuner, or so I thought.
